Common HOA / Home Owner Association Rules
Tenant shall abide by all rules and regulations mandated by any governing HOA. Read the full CC&Rs for your community for your reference.
Here are some common HOA rules.
- Keep premises clean and presentable. Pick up all trash, debris, flyers, telephone books, etc.
- Place garbage at curb no more than 12 hours before and 12 hours after garbage collection time. Tip: look at when your neighbors place their garbage out.
- Place garbage cans out of sight. Tip: look where your neighbors place their cans, for example behind a closed gate or inside a garage.
- Overnight storage of vehicles on the street may be banned or require display of a valid visitor's badge. Tip: look if neighbors place vehicles overnight on the street.
- Place vehicles only in the garage, driveway, or street. Do not park vehicles on yard or other areas.
- No loud parties before 12 noon or after 9pm.
- Large parties may require prior written approval of HOA.
- Garage sales may be banned by or require prior written approval of HOA.
- Seasonal decorations (Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc.) may be placed no more than 30 days before and 10 days after the seasonal event.
- Keep garage doors closed at night.
- Display of advertising may be banned by the HOA. Place within garage any vehicles which display advertising such as company name, contact information, website url, etc.
- Do not perform vehicle maintenance on the street.
- No recreational vehicles may be placed outside.
